      Helen Stone, 77, of Henderson died Sunday, April 13, 2008, at Henderson Methodist Hospital. She was born in Frog Island, Ill., and was retired from Anchor Industry Sewing Factory. She was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church in Henderson. Mrs. Stone was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Bishop Stone.

      Survivors include a son, Howard Stone and his wife, Linda, of Marion, Ind.; two daughters, Barbara Alexander, and Rebecca Crawford and her husband, David, all of Henderson; a grandson, Brian Stone and wife Kitaya of Lewisville, Texas; a great-grandson, Drake Stone of Lewisville; two brothers, Milford Smiley of Warrensburg, Ill., and Billy Smiley of Hardinsburg; and three sisters, Lucy Strickland of Diberville, Miss., Nancy Hamilton of Warrensburg and Shirley Bennett of Hardinsburg.

      Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Thursday at Geary Funeral Home in Fordsville, with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Pattiville. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Gospel Light Baptist Church in Henderson.
