  Mildren (Mike) Scott Dickerson was born November 12, 1915 in Gravity, Iowa to Ruby Chloe (McFarland) and Thomas Andrew Scott, Mildred graduated from Indianola High School in 1933. She married John Louie Dickerson on March 13, 1937 in Olathe, Kansas. Mildred and Louie began their married life in Knoxville as part owners of Dickerson Produce. She loved working at Modern Jewelers in Knoxville for many years, served as a member of the Knoxville Hospital Auxiliary, and volunteered in the Hospital Gift Shop. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and any kind of hand work. Mike, 97, passed away on July 12, 2013. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Scott Sullivan of Pella, daughters Jill Dickerson of Sarasota, Florida, Judy Davis of San Marino, California, and Jackie Chipp of Altoona, Iowa. She had eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and innumerable nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, and a brother.
