Elbert Franklin Virts was born June 2, 1888 in Loudoun County Virginia to James Marion and Mary Elisabeth Leigh Virts. He married Myrtle Viola Riley on December 21, 1910. She was born March 2, 1896 in Loudoun County Virginia and died April 7, 1954 in Lovettsville, Virginia. Both are buried in Mt. Olivet Methodist Church Cemetery in Lovettsville Virginia.

Catherine Josephine Virts, 85, life-long resident of Lovettsville, VA, died on Monday, July 20, 2009 in Leesburg, Va. Miss Virts was born January 12, 1924 in Lovettsville to the late Elbert and Myrtle Riley Virts. Three brothers and a sister predeceased her.
She participated in various activities for the blind, including bowling with a local group from Hamilton. Miss Virts was a life-long member of Potomac Valley Homemakers.
Miss Virts is survived by her brother Charles Clifford Virts of Brunswick, MD; five nephews, nine nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call at the Brown/Loudoun Funeral Chapels, 34 East Broad Way in Lovettsville on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 form 7-9 p.m. Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Don Prange officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet United Methodist Cemetery, Lovettsville.
