Berkley Smith Virts, 71, of Hillsboro, died Sept. 1, at Fairfax Hospital. Born Jan. 28, 1916, in the Morrisonville section of Loudoun County, he was the son of Elbert J. and Lela Smith Virts. Mr. Virts was a retired farmer and former employee of the Coca Cola Company in Silver Spring, Md. He also formerly owned and operated the Phillips 66 service station in Leesburg and managed the Leesburg Laundry. At the time of his retirement he was employed by Southern States in Leesburg. Surviving are his wife, Marion Abel Virts of Hillsboro; two brothers, E. Leon of Silver Spring, Md., and Aubrey L. Virts of Hamilton; a sister-in-law Dorothy Abel Virts of Hillsboro. Interment was in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
