Mr. Charles "Beanie" Clifford Virts, age 84 of Brunswick, Maryland died on Thursday, February 28, 2013, at VA Medical Center Washington DC. Charles was born on Sunday, April 29, 1928 in Lovettsville, VA. He was a son of the late Elbert Franklin Virts and the late Myrtle Riley Virts. He predeceased by longtime companion, Mildred Ely; daughter, Nancy Welsh; one sister and two brothers.
Charles served his country in the Korean War. Retiring from the B&O Railroad as a carman and machinist.
He is survived daughter, Ellen Rice and husband Charles of Cumberland, MD, and by his son, Clifford VanWinkle and Lisa of Brunswick, MD; a nephew Roy Virts of Brunswick, MD; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and close friends June Anders of Brunswick, MD and John "Jay" Robinson and family of Spring Hill, TN.
Graveside services are pending for Saturday, March 9, 2013.
A Celebration of his life will be held after the graveside services at the Ruritan Farmers Woods, Petersville MD.

Charles "Beanie" Clifford Virts, 84, of Brunswick, Md., died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at the VA Medical Center in Washington, D.C. A graveside service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mount Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lovettsville, Va. A celebration of his life will follow the graveside service at Ruritan Farmers Woods, Petersville, Md.
