Joseph A. Swope, a retired Baltimore and Ohio Railroad track foreman residing at Knoxville, died at 7:30 o'clock Wednesday night at the Schnauffer Hospital in Brunswick after a brief illness, aged 75 years. Besides his wife he is survived by the following children: Mrs. Charles Meier and Mrs. Edna Slifer, both of Washington; Mrs. Paul Huffer, Knoxville, George Kenneth Swope, Brunswick; five grandchildren and one brother, Joseph E. Swope, Knoxville. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist church at Knoxville conducted by Rev. Norman L. Trott. Interment in the Reformed cemetery at Knoxville. C. H. Feete and Son funeral directors.
