      Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock this afternoon for Ashton G. Clapham, prominent banker, who died Sunday afternoon. Services were held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 18?sup?th?/sup? and Church streets, the rector C. Ernes Smith officiating. Interment was in Oak Hill cemetery.

      The honorary pallbearers were Waddy B. Wood, Samuel J. Henry, T. P. Morgan, jr.; William p. Meredith, Blackwell Smith, Frederick Hewitt, Joseph N. Thompson, William A. Hill, John M. Moon and Raymond Ratcliffe.

      Note: Obiturary states place of burial was Oak Hill Cemetery, however he is buried in the Union Cemetery in Lovettsville, Virginia.
