    Robert Hackley was born May 15, 1884 in Loudoun County Virginia to Alpheus Jackson Hackley and Elizabeth Russell. He died August 23, 1952 in Loudoun Heights Virginia. He married Rose Belle Speaks who was born March 3, 1887 in Loudoun County Virginia and died September 9, 1975 in Leesburg, Virginia.

      Mrs. Rose Belle Hackley, 88, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, in the Loudoun Memorial Hospital in Leesburg, Va., following a long illness. A resident of Loudoun Heights, Va., she was born there March 3, 1887, the daughter of the late Mrs. Julia Speaks. She was the widow of Robert Hackley.

      Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Viola Dixon, Brunswick, Mrs. Bessie Cogle, Loudoun Heights, Mrs. Alice Jenkins, McLean, Va., Mrs. Mary Virts, Lovettsville, Va., two sons, James Speaks, Hillsboro, Va., Elmer Hackley, Knoxville, 24 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

      Services were held Thursday, Sept. 11, at 2 p.m. from the Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Loudoun Heights with the Rev. James Wilson officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.

      The Eackles Funeral Chapel in Harpers Ferry was in charge of arrangements.
