She married Howard William Gosnell who was born August 31, 1901 and died January 7, 1958 in Baltimore, Maryland. Her son Millard was born January 11, 1922 in Knoxville, Maryland and died Jun 6, 1981 in Winchester, Virginia. Lillian and Howard are buried in the Reformed Cemetery in Knoxville, Maryland. Millard is buried in the Union Cemetery in Lovettsville.

He married Betty Marie Cornelius daughter of Grover C. and Marie Betty Leopold. She was born September 4, 1924 in Brunswick, Maryland and died July 11, 1990 in Brunswick, Maryland. Both are buried in the Union Cemetery in Lovettsville, Virginia.

      Mr. Millard E. "Hotchie" Gosnell, 59, of 820 Tritapoe Dr., Knoxville, died Saturday, June 6, at the Winchester Memorial Hospital, Winchester, Va. Mr. Gosnell was born in New Addition, Knoxville, Jan. 11, 1922. He was a son of the late Howard W. Sr. and Lillian Ruth Virts Gosnell and is the husband of Betty Cornelius Gosnell. Surviving besides his wife are one daughter, Mrs. Elaine G. Hoffman, Servern; one brother, Howard W. Gosnell, Jr., Lovettsville, Va., one sister, Mrs. Evelyn Ambrose, Knoxville; a step-mother, Mrs. Agnes Gosnell, Asbury United Methodist Home, Gaithersburg; a half sister, Mrs. Helen Mercer, Frederick; a half brother, Kenneth Fogle, Frederick; two grandchildren, Michellle Lee and Thomas Elgin Hoffman, both of Severn; a mother-in-law, Mrs. Marie Cornelius, Lovettsville, Va. Interment was in the Union Cemetery, Lovettsville.
