    • OBITUARY: CLARA ALICE BOLYARD
      Clara Alice Bolyard, 87, of Rt. #1, Moatsville, went to be with the Lord at 10:45 A.M. on Saturday, January 7, 2006 at the Broaddus Hospital. Death was attributed to a stroke suffered on December 4, 2005.
      She was born Ocyober 20, 1918, near Kasson, Barbour County, a daughter of the late Andrew E. and Ida Victoria (Poling) Loar.
      On August 8, 1936, she was united in marriage to Claudis Howard Bolyard, who preceded her in death on January 10, 1977.
      Surviving are one son, Dorsey "Buck" Bolyard and wife, Sallie, Bruceton Mills, WV; two daughters, Darlene Knotts, Stow, OH, Judy Shaffer and husband, David, Rt. #1, Moatsville; son-in-law, Carl Loughridge and wife, Joyce, Colliers, WV; daughter-in-law, Sandi Poling and husbabd, Terry, Moatsville; one sister, Ophra Moury and husbAND, Edward, Moatsville; 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
      She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Virginia Lea Loughridge; by a son, Larry Andrew Bolyard; by twin infant granddaughters, Regenia Kay and Renae Sue Shaffer; by brothers, Robert Loar and Clifford Loar; by a sister, Edna Ridenour; and by a son-in-law, Junior Knotts.
      Mrs. Loar was a homemaker and was a member of the Shiloh Church of the Brethren. Her favorite past time was quilting. She also enjoyed sending cards and making phone calls on Sunday to see how her family and friends were doing. She enjoyed studying her Bible, had a dedicated prayer life and trusted in the Lord completely.
      Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, Jan. 10, from the Shiloh Church of the Brethren. Pastor Garry Clem will officiate and interment will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery.
      Friends may call at the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home from 4:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Monday and at the Shiloh Church of the Brethren fron 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday.
