He married Katheryn Hunter and Julie Gyorkovics. Julie was born February 25, 1924 in Martin's Ferry, Ohio and died January 1, 2008 in Lovettsville, Virginia. William and Julie are buried in Mt. Olivet Methodist Church Cemetery, Lovettsville, Virginia.

      Julia L. Everhart, 83, a resident of Lovettsville since 1978, died Jan. 1. She was born February 25, 1924, in Martin's Ferry, OH, to Jack and Julia Gyorkovics Lampert. Her husband William Michael Everhart II also predeceased her in 1985. She was a budget analyst with the Department of Justice under Robert Kennedy and J. Edger Hoover. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Hamilton.
      She is survived by her daughter Theresa McGowan of Lovettsville; son Michael W. Everhart III of Richmond; and grandchildren Andrew, Nicholas and Emma McGowan, all of Lovettsville. Services were held Jan. 4 at Browns/Loudoun Funeral Chapel in Lovettsville. Interment was at Mt. Olivet Church Cemetery in Lovettsville.
