  Kory A. Sams Kory Allen Sams, 4, of Eaton, died Saturday, March 31, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton as the result of an automobile accident in Preble County. His stepsister, Andrea Lee "Andie" Shumway, also died in the accident. He was born Aug. 2, 1996, in Dayton, attended St. Clair Academy in Eaton and the Taekwando class in West Alexandria. He loved racing and dirt bikes. Survivors include his mother, Beverly Sams and fiance, Jeremy Shumway; maternal grandparents, William "Bill" and Betty Sams of Eaton; maternal great-grandfather, John Ridenour of St. Petersburg, Fla.; maternal great-grandmother, Mae Sams of Camden; uncle, Bryan Sams; aunt, Carrie Spence; several nieces, nephews, great aunts and uncles and numerous cousins. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 5, at Barnes Funeral Home with the Rev. Lowell T. Spencer officiating. Burial will be in Preble Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from noon-2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Firstar Bank in Kory's memory.
