Newton Ulysses Brown, aged 67, died March 22 at his home near Lovettsville following an illness from complications which had kept him bedfast for the past three and half years. He was a son of the late Joseph and Mary Fry Brown of Lovettsville community.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Alice Everhart Brown; three daughters, Mrs. Lake Mentzer and Mrs. Norma Frye of Lovettsville and Mrs. Gay King of Washington; one son, Bowlus Brown at home; two brothers, William and Levin Brown, and two sisters, Mrs. Alice Stone and Mrs. Leola Myers all of Lovettsville.
Funeral services will be conducted from the home Friday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. John Bowins of Jefferson officiating. The pallbearers will be six nephews, John Wright of Dayton, Ohio, Elmer and Wilmer Brown of Wheatland and Lewis Arthur and Howard Brown of Maryland. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
