Mrs. William H. Hackley, 72, a life-long area resident, died yesterday of a long illness. She lived at 3615 Minnesota avenue S.E.
Mrs. Hackley was born on a farm in Alexandria and move to the District as a infant. Her huband, a retired crane operator at the Naval Gun Factory, died last week.
Mrs. Hackley leaves two sons, Everett L. of 8030 New Riggs road, Hyattsville, and Edwin R., of 11504 Monongahela drive, Rockville; a daughter Mrs. Marjorie L.Wettig, 3507 Minnesota avenue S.E., and three sisters, Mrs. Eva Jenkins of the home address, Mrs. Rose Lane, 3825 Davis place N.W., Mrs. Mary Stang, 12908 Georgia avenue, Wheaton, Md., and Mrs. Eva Jenkins, 7007Walker Mill road S.E. She also leaves five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow at the Lee Funeral Home, Fourth street and Massachusetts avenue N.E. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
