Barbara Jean Wethington of Verona, KY died Nov. 2, 2015 at her residence at the age of 71. She was the daughter of the late James Murray and Laura Mae Hardin Hopperton, a former insurance agent for Wethington Insurance, a homemaker, and a member of the All Saints Catholic Church, Walton. She was united in marriage to Harry E. Hopperton on March 4, 1961. In addition to her husband Harry, of 54 years, she is also survived by 2 sons, Rusty Hopperton of Mt. Sterling and Brian Hopperton of Dallas; 2 daughters, Susie Frakes of Florence and Donna Parrish of Verona; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 7 brothers, Gary Wethington of Crittenden, Mike Wethington of Taylor Mill, Bill Wethington of Verona, David Wethington of Walton, Keith Wethington of Frankfort, and Tom and Tony Wethington both of Walton; and 2 sisters Edie Trzop and Vickie Thacker both of Walton. Funeral Mass will be 10:00am Fri., Nov. 6, 2015 at the All Saints Catholic Church, Walton, followed by burial in the St. Patricks Cemetery, Verona. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00pm Thursday at the Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, Verona. Memorials are suggested to the St. Elizabeth Hospice.

She was the daughter of the late James Murray and Laura Mae Hardin Wethington, a former insurance agent for Wethington Insurance, a homemaker, and a member of the All Saints Catholic Church, Walton. She was united in marriage to Harry E. Hopperton on March 4, 1961.
