Mr. Chester Willard Virts Jr., 48, of Leesburg, Va., died Saturday, May 12 in Leesburg. Born Sept. 20, 1952, in Brunswick, he was the son of Viola V. Kidwell Virts of Leesburg, and the late Chester W. Virts Sr. He grew up in Round Hill and Bluemont. He lived in Leesburg for 16 years. He worked as a welder for Union Iron Works for more than 15 years. In addition to his mother, he is survived by five sisters, Rita Mellott of Romney, W.Va., Shirley Rugemer and Mary Johnson, both of Leesburg, Sarah Smith and husband Teddy of Harpers Ferry, W.Va., and Nancy James and husband Andrew of Lovettsville, Va.; one brother, Donald Virts and wife Lora of Bluemont; 22 nieces and nephews; and five great-nieces and -nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard T. Virts. Friends may call Tuesday, May 15, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, at the corner of Broadway and Locust Street, Lovettsville. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 16, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lovettsville.
