- Roy K Sparks Sr., 93, a former Rushville resident, passed away at 2:45 PM Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Mercy Hospital in Cincinnati.
Roy was born April 27, 1918 in Crawfordsville, IN to Abb Sparks and Stella (Baker) Sparks Bundy. He married Eunice Adkins on February 23, 1943 and she preceded him in death on February 21, 1975. He later married Margaret Keitel and she preceded him in death in 2006.
Roy was a machinist for many years, a 1937 graduate of Rushville High School and WW 2 US Army veteran.
He leaves behind his sons, James & wife Diane Sparks of Noblesville, Danny & wife Judy Sparks of Connersville, daughter, Linda & husband Rick Winkler of Shelbyville, daughter-in-law, Janie Sparks of Rush County, step sons, Gary & Mark Keitel, step daughter, Lori Mullane, 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents & wives, Roy was preceded in death by a son, Roy Kendall Sparks Jr and a granddaughter, Rebecca and sisters, Gladys & Edith Littrell and Dorothy Jean Wright.
