      ELBA S. SIKES DIES TUESDAY

      Elba S. Sikes, 88, a long time resident of the Russell community, died Tuesday evening at the Lucas County Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past nine months.

      She was the owner fo the Slater Farms near Russell and for the last several years had spent the winter months at her St. Petersburg, Fla. home.

      She is survived by one nephew, Paul Slater, of Bronxville, N.Y., and a niece, Ella Marie Fowler of Louisville, Ky.

      Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the St. Andrews Episcopal Church with Father James Gundrum conducting. Burial will be in the Russell Cemetery.
