      MARGUERITE SHERIFF March 11, 1929 - May 23, 2010 ANDERSON, SC - Marguerite Snipes Sheriff, age 81, of 4420 Dobbins Bridge Road, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2010 at her residence. Born in Commerce, GA to the late Allen Parker Snipes and Verner Smallwood Snipes, Mrs. Sheriff was a former employee of Owens Corning Fiberglas and Bobby Dan Manufacturing. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, J.W. Sheriff of the home; a son, Gary Sheriff and his wife Shannon; a sister, Audrey Herring; and two grandchildren, Nicole and Gavin Sheriff, all of Anderson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sheriff is preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Sheriff; two brothers, Hoyt and Benny Snipes; a sister, Patricia Harper; and her father and mother-in-law, James and Florence Sheriff. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 3:00 PM in The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gordon Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 24, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
