Deceased Name: Ruthrauff
79, of Decatur died 10:27 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 25, 1999) in McKinley Court Nursing Home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Visitation was 5 to 7 p.m. Monday in Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home and will be one hour before services Tuesday in the church. Burial will be in Mount Gilead Cemetery. Memorials: St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Ruthrauff was born in Lexington on Oct. 2, 1919, the daughter of Clarence and Ruby Jenkins Kallbreier. She was a retired secretary for dean of boys at MacArthur High School and formerly worked as a secretary for Mary W. French Grade School and Downtown Decatur Council. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Decatur Memorial Hospital Women's Auxiliary, Garden Club and Decatur Women's Club. She married Preston D. Ruthrauff on June 16, 1946.
Surviving are her husband; sons, Gary Ruthrauff and wife Dolly and Jeff Ruthrauff and wife Diane, all of Decatur; daughter, Mrs. Janet Hirst and husband Wayne of Decatur; grandchildren, Anthony Ruthrauff and wife Angela and Dylan Hibbard and wife Michele, all of Decatur; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Austin, Brittany and Rachel.
She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Rachel Ruthrauff.
