- Doris J Culver, 88, Lawton, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015 in Lawton. Doris was born August 13, 1926 in Stuttgart, Germany to Friedrich and Else (Dreyssig) Widmann.
She married CW3(Retired) Eugene E. Culver on January 22, 1955 in Schwaebisch, Gmuend, Germany. He passed away January 9, 2008. She volunteered with the Red Cross and the Fort Sill Thrift Shop for many years. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her 3 children, Deborah Recklein and husband Don of Lawton, Steven Culver and wife Leslie of Tampa, FL, and Linda Phillips and husband Michael of League City, TX. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Ashley Recklein of Lawton, Michael Recklein of Lawton, Alyssa Rogers and husband Andy of Omaha, NE, Kelly Taylor of Berkley, CA, Brian Taylor and wife Kate of Eastham, UT, Scott Taylor and wife Dacia of Salt Lake City, UT and 2 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Graveside service for Doris J. Culver, 88, Lawton will be at 2:00 pm Monday, January 5, 2015 in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, Sunset Memorial Gardens with Jim Roberts, Pastor of Peace Congregational Church, south of Indiahoma, Oklahoma officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
