 | James Marion Virts and Mary Elisabeth Leigh
James was born December 14, 1848 in Loudoun County Virginia to Eliza Ann Virts, and died October 28, 1933 in Lovettsville. Mary was born in 1849 and died March 18, 1926 in Lovettsville. She was the daughter of Joseph Edward and Susannah Wolf Leigh. Both are buried in the Cemetery at Mt. Olivet Methodist Church in Lovettsville.

Oscars father and mother, James Marion Virts and Mary Elisabeth Leigh Virts lived here in there later years in this house until their deaths.
This was also the home of Oscar Franklin Virts son, Raymond Eugene Virts (1910-1989) and his wife Mary Marie Hackley, and Raymond brother Theodore Roosevelt Virts (1904-1996). Raymonds wife Mary was the last to live here and left the home in December 2000.
