MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Theo W. "Ted" Wolford, 84, of Martinsburg, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, at Care Haven of Martinsburg. Born Dec. 28, 1923, in Keyser, W.Va., he was the son of the late Ralph Virts Wolford and Mary Alice McKenzie Wolford. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Jean Ambrose Wolford. He was an orthopedic technician, retiring from the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Morris Young Retired Men's Chorus and the American Legion. He is survived by one daughter, Kathy McIntyre of Martinsburg; one sister, Margaret J. Schell of Winchester, Va.; nieces; and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, H. Frances Jones and Janet L. Pope; and one brother, Carl R. Wolford. Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg. The Rev. Al Clipp will officiate. Military graveside services will be in Rosedale Cemetery in Martinsburg. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Berkeley Senior Center, 217 N. High St., Martinsburg, WV 25404.
