- Gladys ' Toots' Bosch, age 69, of Lima, died at 5:20 a.m., Sunday, March 22, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born June 7, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio to Nicholas Manuel Antonio Baca and Juanita Mae (Schaller) Baca; both parents preceded her in death. On May 26, 1962 she married Michael Bosch Sr., with whom she spent 53 wonderful years.
Toots was an active member of the Catholic community; she was a member of St. Gerard's Parish and was a coordinator and teacher of CCD at St. Charles. She loved playing the piano, enjoyed playing cards, and at one point was a Tupperware Consultant. She belonged to the Red Hatters Society, was a Girl Scout/Cub Scout leader; but above all else she was a homemaker and a mother, not just to her children but to everyone she met. Toots always took on the role of a second mother or grandmother, often saying 'always room for one more'.
She is survived by 6 children Mike (Judy) Bosch , Jr., of Ottoville, Ohio, Matt (Diana) Bosch of Dallas, Texas, Beth (Roger) Runser of Lima, Ohio, Jennifer Klaus of Marysville, Ohio, Dan (Alicia) Bosch of Marysville, Ohio, Corrie (Craig) Swank of Botkins, Ohio; 13 grandchildren Chase, Hunter, Adam, Connor, Caitlyn, Nick (Jessica), Joe (Alicia), Emily (Blake), Sean, Samantha, Kyle, Bryce, Tyler; 3 great grandchildren Kaleb, Reese, Swayzee; and one brother Rick (Onie) Baca.
She is preceded in death by a sister, Janet Stiles.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 24, from 3:00 to 8:00 at Chamberlain Huckeriede Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., March 25, at St. Gerard's. Father Jim Szobonya , C.Ss.R.
Interment will follow at Bluelick Cemetery.
