Thomas Virts Eagle, 86, of 308 North Eagle St., Woodstock, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Winchester Medical Center. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock. Rev. Barbara Rhodes will officiate. Mr. Eagle was born Aug. 2, 1916, in Knoxville, Md., son of the late Samuel Boyer and Nellie Virts Eagle. He was a retiree businessman and dairy farmer and was the owner of Woodstock Wholesale Meats for 40 years. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Woodstock and a former director for the Shenandoah County Fair Association. He was married to the late Sybil Hottle Eagle. Tom is survived by his wife, Geraldine (Gerry) Smoot Eagle and brother, Harvey George Eagle of Knoxville, Md. The family will receive friends today (Friday) from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's United church of Christ Memorial Fund, 235 S. Main St., Woodstock, Va., 22664.
