      Jack D. Blosser, 79, of Akron, passed away June 24, 2009.

      Jack was born November 3, 1929 in Morgantown, West Virginia. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, earning a Purple Heart. He retired from General Tire and later worked for Blosser Construction. Above all, he was dedicated to his family and country and will be greatly missed. In his free
      time he enjoyed camping, fishing, and his dogs.

      He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; son, Roger; and seven brothers and sisters. He is survived by his sons, Frank (Lori), Kevin (Debbie), and Gary (Jenny) Blosser; sister, Mabel (Jack) Reed; eleven grandchildren; four great- randchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

      Family and friends may call on Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral services
