    • Daisy B. Frantz passed away Friday February 14, 2014 at her home in Hickman, Ca. with her children by her side. She was 94 years old. Daisy was born in Long Beach, Ca. on March 30, 1919 to Noah and Ethel (Kendrich) Bowman. She was number 9 of 19 children. She graduated in June of 1938 from Modesto High School and was baptized into the Old German Baptist Church in September of 1938.

      She married John Markey Frantz on December 24, 1938. To this union, were born five children: Michael, Jan, Timothy, Dennis and Dale. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 65 years, one son Michael in 1957, 14 brothers and sisters, a daughter-in-law, a grandson and a great grandchild.

      She is survived by her remaining children: Jan (Gerald) Cowan, Timothy (Mitzi) Frantz, Dennis (Donna) Frantz and Dale Frantz, three sisters: Dana, Doreen and Denise, one brother Douglas, 13 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 14 great, great-grandchildren.

      We know she is with her Lord, but she will be greatly missed by those left behind.

      Services are on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Old German Baptist Church on 6330 Covert Rd. in West Modesto. Burial will follow at Wood Colony Cemetery near Salida.
