      Mrs. Nancy Wigle

      Mrs. Nancy Barber Wigle, 68, of Hagerstown, formerly of Gaithersburg, died Friday, Nov. 1, at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown.

      She was the wife of Daryl L. Wigle.

      Born Nov. 14, 1933, in Gaithersburg, she was a daughter of the late Lilbern William and Mary Louise Frye Demory.

      Mrs. Wigle was a 1951 graduate of Gaithersburg High School. She had worked for Fourth Region Civil Service in Washington as a clerk-typist and later retired from the National Institutes of Health in 1995 as an office manager.

      She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Gaithersburg, and had also attended Gaithersburg Church of the Nazarine.

      Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, Michael Bradley Wigle of Middletown, Jeffrey Scott Wigle Sr. of Gaithersburg and Gregory C.A. Wigle of Frederick; four grandchildren, Regina Brown of Germantown, Jeffrey Scott Wigle Jr. of Gaithersburg, Tenni Elyse Wigle of Keymar and Rita Marie Wigle of Gaithersburg; one great-grandchild, Alexis Marie Brown of Germantown; and six sisters, Phyllis J. Wayne of Colorado, Thelma J. Vangilder and Patricia L. Snouffer, both of Gaithersburg, Kay M. Snouffer and Mary Lee Bernatz, both of Woodfield, and Perla G. Pardini of Damascus.

      Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at Muriel H. Barber Funeral Home, 21525 Laytonsville Road, Laytonsville.

      Friends may also call from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at Grace United Methodist Church, 119 N. Frederick Ave., Gaithersburg.

      Interment will be in Lovettsville Union Cemetery, Lovettsville, Va.

      In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
