James William Jacobs, 72, a native of Lovettsville, died Feb. 23 in Loudoun Memorial Hospital. Mr. Jacobs was the son of David and Orra Hunter Jacobs. He had been employed on Dr. Joseph Rogers farm near Hamilton. Surviving are his wife Mrs. Abbie Orrison Jacobs; one daughter, Lydia Lambert of Hamilton; four sons, Leonard of Leesburg, Reggie of Manassas, Howard of Frederick and Raymond of Lovettsville; a sister, Mrs. Ollie Munday of Brunswick; two brothers Elmer of Rockville and Wilmer of Ohio; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Feb. 26 from the Brown Funeral Home, Lovettsville, with the Rev. Michael W. Kretsinger officiating. Interment was in Lovettsville Union Cemetery.
