Minnie Bell Riley was born September 26, 1870 in Loudoun County Virginia and died December 14, 1961 in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. She married Lewis Joseph Virts on March 20, 1889. Lewis was born July 4, 1869 in Lovettsville, Virginia to Joseph Lewis and Sarah A. Long Virts. He died January 30, 1934 in Shenandoah Junction, West Virginia. Both are buried in Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town, West Virginia.

Source Unknown. Mrs. Minnie, 91, of Shenandoah Junction died last night in the Locust Grove Rest Home at Harpers Ferry. The widow of L. J. Virts, she had spent practically her entire life in Jefferson County, where she came at the age of 17 years from Loudoun County, Va., where she was born September 26, 1870, a daughter of the late James and Martha Long Riley. Two daughters and a son survive. Mrs. Charles F. Snyder, of Shenandoah Junction, Mrs. Shirley E. Algar and Garland L. Virts of Charles Town; and one sister, Mrs. Charles Harding, of Mansfield, Oh.
