      Edgar Milton Rollison Jr., 72, of Knoxville, died Monday, October 1, 2007 at Kline Hospice House at Mount Airy.

      He was born May 19, 1935 on the Pearl Farm, Point of Rocks Road, near Jefferson, and was the son of the late Edgar Milton Rollison Sr. and Elsie May Piper Rollison.

      Mr. Rollison married Margaret Virginia Cavell on April 21, 1956 at First Baptist Church, Frederick. Surviving besides his wife of 51 years is his only child, Carl Leon Rollison and wife, Deborah A. Wojdacz Rollison and their children, Promise D., Justis J. and Israel A. Rollison, all of Fairmont, W.Va. Also surviving are his sisters, Eleanor M. Summers of Williamsport and Annalee M. Springs of Lime Kiln; one brother, Harold Douglas; sister-in-law, Wanda George Rollison of Woodbine; aunts, Madeline Pearl and Sylvia Flook of Frederick, Genevieve Cooley of Williamsport and Estelle Barnhart of Frederick; uncle, Delbert Piper and wife, Marselene of Florida; several nieces, nephews and extended family; and several friends and neighbors, who cared for him.

      Preceding Mr. Rollison in death were brother, Ebby Melvin Rollison; brothers-in-law, Albert Summers and James Springs; his parents and many aunts and uncles, including Ebenezer Rollison, Nellie Loy and John and Edna Rollison.

      Mr. Rollison retired from Montgomery County Roads (Poolesville Depot) and was previously employed by the late Mary B. Watkins of Dickerson as a farmhand. He helped many friends, neighbors and relatives with his mechanical and farming skills all through his life.

      A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2007 at the Faith Baptist Church, 2212 Petersville Rd., Knoxville, with Pastor Eric Fraley officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 4 to 5 p.m.
