Mrs. Bessie Irene Cogle, 77, of Loudoun Heights, Va., died Sunday, Dec. 22, 1991, at Loudoun Heights, Va. She was the wife of George M. Cogle, who died in 1965.
Born Nov. 27, 1914, in Loudoun County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Robert and Rose Belle Speaks Hackley.
Surviving are two daughters, Winnie E. Hackley and Elizabeth McDonald, both of Loudoun Heights; a son Richard Lee Cogle of Purcellville, Va.; two sisters, Alice Jenkins of Great Falls, Va., and Mary Virts of Lovettsville, Va.; a brother, Elmer Hackley of Knoxville; and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Cogle was preceded in death by three sisters, Vi Dixon, Lillie Virts and Jessie Virts and a brother James Speaks.
The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at the Eackles-Spencer Funeral Home, Harpers Ferry, W. Va. Funeral Services will be 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, in Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Loudoun Heights, with Rev. Athan Burch and the Rev. Floretta Legg officiating. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Loudoun Heights.
