Clarence Edward Hackley, 74, died on Friday, October 9, at the Manuel Rest Home, in Hillsboro, Loudoun county, Va., after being in ill health for two years and suffering a paralytic stroke three weeks ago. He was a retired construction laborer.
Born in Loudoun county, he was a son of the late Manuel and Elizabeth Russell Hackley. With the exception of the six months he had spent in Charles Town with a daughter, he lived in Loudoun county all his life.
The body rested at the local Eackles Funeral Chapel until Monday afternoon, when it was removed to the Ebenezer Church in Virginia where funeral services where held at 2 o'clock p.m. with the Rev. Rufas Fink officiating. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery.
