Susie Elizabeth Hackley, 78, died Saturday morning, Oct. 27, at the residence of her daughter in Lanham. She was a former resident of Loudoun Heights, Va., born in Loudoun County, Aug. 6, 1895.
She was as daughter of the late William and Susan Hawk Nuce and the widow of the late James Hackley. She was a retired cook having cooked at the Hillsboro, Va., school cafeteria for 25 years.
She is survived by: one daughter, Mrs. Betty Jane Tetzloff of Lanham; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson. The body is resting at Eackles Funeral Chapel in Harpers Ferry where services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. the Rev. Henry Thomas will officiate. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery in Loudoun Heights, Va.
