Carrie V. Hackley, 79, of Neersville, VA, died on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital at Ranson, WV.
She was born May 18, 1927 at Dargan, MD and was the daughter of the late Charles A. Kesner and Blanche Smith Kesner.
She was a member and Sunday school teacher at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
She attended the The Adult Day Center at Leesburg, VA.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn DeBow and husband, William of Neersville, VA; two sisters, Fleeta Miller of Charles Town and Nellie Bean of Silver Spring, MD; two brothers, Eddie Kesner of Burkittsville, MD and Abe Kesner of Lucketts, VA and one grandson, David Neal Slusher, Jr. of Charles Town.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Hackley who died in 1992, one daughter, Paula Y. Hackley and several sisters and brothers.
Services will be held on Monday, October 23, 2006 at 2:00 PM. at the Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, US 340 and Halltown Road, Charles Town/Harpers Ferry, WV with the Rev. Roland England officiating. Interment will be in the Hillsboro Cemetery at Hillsboro, VA.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
