      Catherine Louise Murphy, wife of Charles W. Murphy and daughter of Augustus and Alice Bell Hackley of Harpers Ferry, died very suddenly on August 6, aged 33 years. She was graduated of Harpers Ferry High School in 1941 and had been employed as clerk-typist by the Standard Lime and Stone Co., Millville. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran church. Surviving besides her husband and parents are a sister, Rebecca Jane, and a brother, James. Also surviving are her grandmothers, Mrs. Ella Hackley and Mrs. Sarah Bell, Harpers Ferry. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Eackles funeral home with Rev. B. B. Latshaw officiating. Interment was in Harper Cemetery. Pallbearers were Clifton Butts, Roland Bond, Jack Hedican, Jack Childs, Leo Kain and William Trotter.
