Della Bessie Virts was born August 8, 1882 in Lovettsville, Virginia to James Marion and Mary Elisabeth Leigh Virts. She died September 22, 1939 in Lovettsville. She married Charles William Kidwell on August 22, 1901. He was born March 10, 1873 in Loudoun County Virginia and died November 22, 1953 in Brunswick, Maryland. Both are buried in the Mount Olivet Methodist Cemetery in Lovettsville, Virginia. |

Mrs. Della B. Kidwell died at her home near Lovettsville on Friday from cerebral hemorrhage, following three years of invalidism. Mrs. Kidwell, 57 years of age, was the wife of Charles Kidwell and the daughter of the late Marion Virts and Mary E. Lay Virts of Lovettsville District. She is survived by her husband, four daughters, Mrs. Carrie McHarlan, Norfolk, Mrs. Bessie Anderson, Lovettsville, Miss Dorothy Kidwell, Silver Spring, Md., Miss Haze Kidwell at home; four brothers, Oscar, Elbert, Thomas, and Charles all of Lovettsville; two sisters, Mrs. William Everhart, Lovettsville and Mrs. Maggie Nuse, near Harpers Ferry. Interment was in Mt. Olivet Methodist Cemetery, Lovettsville.
