      Mrs. Mary Williams

      Mary L. "Bees" Hartman Williams, 76, of Point of Rocks, died Sunday June 18, 2006 at her home after a courageous fight of five years battling cancer. She was the wife of the late Ben Williams of 16 years of marriage.

      Born July 19, 1929 in Point of Rocks, Maryland. She was the daughter of the late Robert M. Harris and Margaret Scally Colbert. Mrs. Williams was a graduate of the Frederick High School class of 1946 and was a dedicated employee of 40 years at the Lilypons Water Gardens until her retirement in 2005.

      Mrs. Williams is survived by her two sons, Robert H. Hartman Jr. and his fiancee Lori Lawson of Frederick, Reverend Edward L. Hartman and his wife Sherry of Spencer, Virginia; three sisters, Connie Stevens of Virginia, Mary Jane Rayhart of West Virginia and Patricia Smith of Point of Rocks, two brothers Robert T. (Tommy) Harris of Virginia and Charles (Sonny) Colbert of Virginia. She was additionally survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her first husband of 27 years of marriage, Robert H. Hartman; her two sisters, Betty (Kate) Lowery and Gloria M. (Goatie) Fraley; and her daughter in law, Jacqui Hartman.

      The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Keeney and Basford P.A. Funeral Home 106 East Church Street Frederick, Maryland.

      Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. the Etchison Memorial Chapel 106 East Church Street Frederick, Md. The Pastor James W. Holt will officiate. Interment will be in the St. Paul's Cemetery Point of Rocks, Md.
