      Mr. Walter George Page, 91, resident of 2775 Washington St., Adamstown, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, at Suburban Hospital, Bethesda, after a short illness.

      He was the husband of Mabel E. Carey Page, who died in March 1990.

      Born March 17, 1907, at Della, he was a son of the late George Edward and Virginia Remick Page.

      Mr. Page farmed for many years in the Adamstown and Buckeystown area, and later managed Moreland Farms at Adamstown for over 25 years. At the time of his death, he remained active on a farmette.

      He was a member of the Forest Grove United Methodist Church, Dickerson.

      He was a charter member and director for over 40 years of Carroll Manor Volunteer Fire Co., Adamstown.

      He remained active in the Adamstown community and especially enjoyed helping with the community butcherings.

      Surviving are one son, Robert L. Page Sr. and wife Octavia M. of Frederick; six grandchildren, Robert L. Page Jr., Robin L. Dicken and husband Robert, Penny M. Basnight, Tony L. Pearcy and husband James, Leslie B. Coats and husband Harold, and Jennifer Sue Ford and husband Bruce; 12 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ernest Page of Dickerson, Earl Page of Adamstown, and Claude Page of Frederick; two sisters, Sophie Stunkle of Tuscarora, and Mary Thomas of Adamstown; and many nieces and nephews.

      He was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters, Ray Page, Jo Page, John Page, Ollie Mae Thomas and Alice Rannenberger.

      The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick.

      Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, in Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home.

      The Rev. Susan Hunt, pastor of Forest Grove United Methodist Church, will officiate.

      Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.

      In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Forest Grove United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 66, Dickerson, Md. 20842; Carroll Manor Volunteer Fire Co., 2795 Adams St., Adamstown, Md. 21710; or to the charity of one's choice.
