  The Frederick News Post, Frederick, Maryland, June 3, 1982 Mrs. Bertha Davis Floyd, 82, died Thursday, May 27, at Southeastern General Hospital, Fairmont, N.C. Born in Doubs, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Laura Carey Davis and spent her early life in the Doubs area. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Floyd Jenkins, Fairmont, N.C.; one brother, Hume Davis, Doubs; three grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 29, at the Prevatte Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Floyd Memorial Cemetery in North Carolina.
