Excerpt--was born Oct. 20, 1872 on Salt Lick, s/o the late Hezekiah and Mary Wolfe. He was one of thirteen children. He was married on June 20, 1901 to May Fairfax Morgan, and two this union were born four children. Virginia, the eldest daughter is the wife of Francis J. Simons and resides in Williamstown, Wood Co. She has two daguhters, Barbara Alice and Virginia Frances, the latter being on two weeks old and the mother unable to attend the funeral. The other daughter, Helen, at home with her mother. The two boys, Karl and Slidell, are students at W.V.U. He is also survied by three sisters, Lilly, wife of J. Ami Everly of Morgantown, Elizabeth Templeton of Baltimore, who was unable to attend the funeral, and Rachel, wife of Fred Elsey of Keyser. He is also survived by three brothers, Feliz and Albert of Terra Alta, and Frank of Morgantown, all in employy of the B&O Railroad, as is Mr. Elsey, who is an engineer. Mr. Wolfe served as a Sergeant of Co. H, in the 2nd W.V. Regiment of the Spanish American War, and served in the National Guard, about 17 years in all. He was also director of the Kingwood National Bank. He served for several years as an agent for the W. Va. Northern Railroad, and was an insurance agent for Prudential Life and Hartford Life. He died April 23, at Cook's Hospital in Fairmont. He was buried in the Maplewood Cemetery in Kingwood.
