    • Per a story in the Evening Star, March 22, 1915, Charles attempted suicide March 21, 1915 at his home, 1105 H Street Northwest, Washington, DC after his wife filed for divorce. The story said physicians were unable to hold out any hope for his recovery. However he did survive and lived another 8 years.
