      Mrs. Alice B. Hawkins, 85, Woodbridge, Va., died Thursday, July 25, in Manassas, Va. She was the wife of the late Edward F. Hawkins.

      Born July 22, 1900, in Point of Rocks, Mrs. Hawkins was a daughter of the late Edward and Mattie Hartman.

      Mrs. Hawkins had been a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church since 1929, in Woodbridge, Va. She was a member of Hawkins-Reeves VFW Post 7916 Auxiliary of Occoquan, Va. The post was named after her son, Claggett Hartman Hawkins, who was killed in World War II. She was a member of the American Legion Post 364 of Woodbridge.

      Surviving are one son, Ellis B. Hawkins of Woodbridge; four grandchildren, Ellis B. Hawkins Jr. of Woodbridge, Nancy A. Hawkins, Frances A. Olds of Landover, Diana M. Hawkins of Charlottesville; one sister, Mrs. Patsy Burdette of Woodbridge; three brothers, Leo Hartman of Oklahoma City, Okla., Claude Hartman of Point of Rocks, and Charles Hartman, Frederick.

      Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Friday, July 26 at the Cunningham-Mount Castle Funeral Home, Woodbridge. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at St. Paul United Methodist Church. The Rev. Christopher Wigren will officiate. Interment will be held at 3 p.m. in the Point of Rocks Cemetery.
