Mr. Charles Evans Everhart, Sr., age 84, a lifelong resident of Lovettsville, VA, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2012.One of five children, he was born on April 24, 1928, to the late Charles Leonard Everhart and the late Mary Melva Evans Everhart.He owned and operated C. E. Everhart Livestock Hauling for over 60 years. His greatest passion was transporting livestock for his loyal customers to various stockyards, attending cattle sales, and delivering livestock all over the U.S. His motto was "day or night, rain or shine, he would get the job done." He also enjoyed transporting 4H livestock from the Loudoun County Fair to various butcher shops and stock- yards.He graduated from the Lovettsville High School, a life-long member of the New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, and a member of the Blue Ridge Cattlemen's Association.Charles was predeceased by his beloved wife and trucking companion, Garnetta, in 2000, and his brothers, Leslie "Kingfish" Everhart, Newton Bowers Everhart, Walter Coolidge Everhart, and Baby Mervin E. Everhart.He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Linda D. Everhart of Lovettsville, VA, Ruthlee (Milton) Holler of Shepherdstown, WV, and son Charles E. (Donna) Everhart, Jr. of Knoxville, MD.He is also survived by his six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends on Friday, October 19, from 6-9 p.m. at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA 20175.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012, at 11 a.m. at New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, on 12942 Lutheran Church Road, Lovettsville, VA 20180.Interment will follow in the Lovettsville Union Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Everhart's memory to a charity of the sender's choice.Please share condolences with the family at LoudounFuneralChapel.com.
