BLOOMINGTON - Anna June (Wilt) Virts, 77, of Bloomington died on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born on June 27, 1935 in Savage, she was the daughter of the late Mike and Martha (Barnard) Wilt.
She attended Bruce High School. She worked for 17 years at the Deer Park Garment Manufacturing Company as a seamstress. Anna was a member of the Lighthouse of Hope Church in Keyser, W.Va.
She is survived by three daughters, Vicki Virts and John Altobello of Fountain, W.Va., Doris Hardesty and husband Mike of Terra Alta, W.Va., and Dolly Virts of Bloomington; four sons, Vernon Virts Jr. and wife Edith of Swanton, Mike Virts and wife Connie of Oakland, Donald Virts and wife Cathy of Terra Alta, and John Virts and wife Gayle of Swanton; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a sister, Arlene Watson of Westernport; and a special friend, Malcolm "Mick" Bray.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Guy Virts, who died on July 7, 2003; a sister, Dolly May Braddock; and two brothers, Mike Wilt and Donald Wilt.
At Anna's request, there will be no viewing and a family service will be held at Union of Friendship Cemetery on the Watson Farm in Westernport on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012 with Pastor David Lindsay officiating.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jeremy Lewis, Richard Sharpless, Mike Sharpless, Mike Virts, Donnie Virts, and David Hardesty.
