John Henry Virts was born November 29, 1861 in Loudoun County Virginia to Joseph Lewis and Eliza Ann Baker Verts. He died October 2, 1939 in Vienna, Virginia. He married Laura Virginia Eversole on December 23, 1891. She was born September 26, 1861 in Maryland and died September 20, 1946 in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Both are buried in Hillsboro Cemetery, Hillsboro, Virginia.

Source Unknown. Mrs. Minne E. Virts, 83 year old resident of Nelson,
passed away last night in Fitzgibbon Hospital. She was born in Cooper County near Boonville, January 21, 1878, the daughter of R. H. and S. E. Parker Tucker. She was married November 8, 1898 at Boonville to Isaac Verts, who passed away August 11, 1956. She was last surviving member of a family of 16 children. Surviving are four sons, Jerome, Ned and Shuck Verts all of Nelson and Virgil Verts of Warrensburg. She preceded in death by a son, Trigg. Interment was in the Nelson Cemetery.
