James William Hackley, 82 of Orlean, VA died on November 21, 2010 at Fauquier Hospital. He was born in Fauquier County, VA on January 7, 1928 the son of the late James Otha and Lady Lee Carter Hackley. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Mary V. Hackley and half-brother Howard Glascock. He had worked as a carpenter.
Survivors include children, Dorothy L. Bywaters, Rixeyville, VA, Mary Sue Carrico, Warrenton, VA, Donna D. Thompson, Warrenton, VA, James T. Hackley, Warrenton, VA and Lesia A. Thompson, Warrenton, VA, sisters, Chloe Simmons, Hyattsville, MD and Mary Lucille Hoppa, Waldorf, MD, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7-9PM Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave., Warrenton, VA where services will be held at 11AM Wednesday, November 24, 2010. Rev J. Richard Winter will officiate and interment will be in Orlean Cemetery.
