      Osper Lee Wagner, 80, of Berryville, VA, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the Veterans Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV.

      Born October 14, 1933 in Belington, WV, he was the son of the late Ova Wagner and Essie Browning Wagner.

      He was of the Methodist faith and a member of the Berryville American Legion Post # 41.

      Osper was a 20 year veteran of the US Air Force, serving in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was combat-decorated and was awarded the Airman's medal and the Bronze Star.

      He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Peggy Hackley Wagner, at home; one daughter, Tracy Jean Wagner of Knoxville, TN; two sons, Mark Wagner and wife, Leilani of Arlington, VA and Eric Wagner of Berryville, VA; one sister, Bessie Reynolds of Charles Town, WV; one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Hackley Faires of Biloxi, MS; two nieces, Lou Ann Kramer of Charles Town, WV and Sara Harmison of Martinsburg, WV.

      He was preceded in death by one brother, Junior Ray Wagner.

      Graveside services will b held at a later date.
