      Eldon Haile, 89, Odessa, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000, at the Lafayette Regional Health Center, Lexington, MO.

      Mr. Haile was born July 24, 1911, in Elm, MO. He married Temple Lee Webb on June 13, 1933, in Liberty, MO. He farmed southwest of Odessa for the past 52 years, moving there from the Napoleon, MO, area. He was baptized in the Elm Spring Baptist Church, Elm, MO. He was preceded in death by his wife, Temple Lee Webb, on June 19, 1984, by a daughter, Doris Rowland, Aug. 3, 1999, and by three sisters, Elsie Webb, Cordia Wilkinson and Gertrude Simmons.

      His survivors include a daughter, Elda May and husband, Richard Edwards, Theodosia, MO, three sons and daughters-in-law, Ed and Mary Haile, Odessa, Ted and Joyce Haile, Higginsville, MO, and Clarence and Phyllis Haile, Roaring Gap, NC; his son-in-law, David Rowland, Washington, KS; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

      Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Ralph O. Jones Chapel, Odessa. Burial will be in Odessa Cemetery, Odessa. Friends may call from 7 to 8 tonight at the chapel.
