Mr. WILLIAM COOPER, 56, of Jefferson, died Tuesday, Dec. 15 at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC. He was the husband of Cherry Derkach Cooper. Born Oct. 8, 1936, in Brunswick, he was a son of Annie Painter Cooper Koontz, Jefferson, and the late William L. Cooper.
He served in the US Navy from 1955-1957. He was a carpenter foreman for the US Dept. of Energy, Germantown.
Surviving, in addition to his wife and his mother, are two sons, John W. Cooper, Frederick; and Michael S. Cooper, Jefferson; and a sister, Lorena Pappalardo, Middletown.
Services were held in the Chapel of the Stauffer Funeral Home, Frederick; interment was in Knoxville Reformed Cemetery, Knoxville.
